Refined italian sculpture in plaster. This large sculpture at almost real height represents Holy Francesco Maria da Camporosso. Francesco Maria da Camporosso, known as the Holy Father, venerated in Genoa where the body is kept in the Capuchin church in Via Bertani, but especially in Camporosso, behind Ventimiglia, where he was born with the name of Giovanni Croese in 1804s.
First blessed, then sanctified by Giovanni XXIII 1962s, Francesco da Camporosso expresses not only his religious devotion and charitable commitment, but also the identity of his land. The sculpture has several defects visible in the picture. The color has disappeared in different places, letting the plaster show.
