A hand-made steel khanjar (koummya) dagger and sheath, copper and 84% silver.
The steel blade is attached to a wood hilt that is inlaid with silver and brass panels and enamel decoration.
The sheath had brass covering on one side and silver on the other. Intricate decoration and silver working.
These knives were functional but they were also part of ceremonial or formal dress and were worn as highly decorative pieces or given as important gifts.
In good condition, authentic and a true antique piece.
